Do you imagine your self with out a brain? Can you Imagine not being able to feel or walk or perceive? And you can imagine us unable to breathe?
As part of my english class I need to do some essays and as a Nurse I choose first the theme of the brain. People think that the heart is the most important organ of the body I believe not. It's true we need our heart and our lungs and other organs, buy without a brain we're nothing. Let me explain: why?
According to The National Geographic: The brain is the organ that makes us human, giving people the capacity for art, language, moral judgments, and rational thought. It's also responsible for each individual's personality, memories, movements, and how we sense the world. In other words is our central command.
Do you ever ask yourself: How much weighs the brain at birth? Or when it gets his full size?
Well, as a matter of fact, at birth it only weighs less than a pound (0.78-0.88 pounds or 350-400 g). As a child grows, the number of cell remains relatively stable, but the cells grow in size and the number of connections increases. The human brain reaches its full size at about 6 years of age according to Enchanted Learning, 2001-2010.
It’s so delicate as complex. Why? It is delicate because once the tissue dies don't regenerate. This means that you will suffer the language, thoughts, memories, senses, and so on. The complexity of this organ arises from the nature of the unit that draws its operation: the neuron. These are connected by means of long protoplasmic fibers called axons, which transmit signal pulse trains called action potentials to distant parts of the brain or body by placing them in specific receptor cells.
Don't believe it? well check out this video: Mean wile think about what you know?, What do you don't believe? Do you think is really powerful? and at least tell me which organ you think is more powerful and why? or do you agree with me.
