Health & Nutrition: you are what you eat by Sue Rivera

Hard decision: eat healthy or junk food. Choose one but, remember you are what you eat!

In this time I’m using me as an example. Back in time I used to weigh 212 lbs, the reason? I don’t eat properly, I was not drinking enough water, and I didn’t rest or do exercises. To complete the bad panorama my meal (those that I used eat) were high in fats, sugars and carbohydrates.

This is a lifestyle and the sudden change does not happen overnight. First there must be a motivation (why you want to do) and believe in you. Second there must be angels (people) to help you and motivate you (you will need them). Third, start from scratch and make a commitment to yourself, your health, your image but above all to see on that goal (motivation). With this in mind and living day to day I changes from junk food to healthy meals.

According to Medline food provides the energy and nutrients you need to be healthy. Nutrients include proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. And Health it is the general condition of a person's mind, body and spirit, usually meaning to be free from illness, injury or pain (as in “good health” or “healthy”).

So knowing all this I decided to:  1) Do 6 meals   2) drink more water and fewer sodas   3) start exercise and 4) sleep well.

The results:

THEN
 NOW
